The recent invention of video poker in the poker world is considered by some to be the thinking person's slot machine game, because of their similarities. However, video poker, in both its online or casino form does not involve spinning reels, and therefore cannot really be considered a slot game. Some see video poker as a poker game being played versus a machine, as it was undoubtedly inspired by traditional poker and follow the basic rules of poker, but there are significant differences between video poker and traditional table poker. Playing video poker gives players the chance to gamble at their own convenience. One thing that keeps many people away from the poker rooms in most casinos is the presence of all the other people at the tables. Fans of regular poker might also enjoy video poker although they might think it's a lonely experience at first. One should play video poker because it's fun and satisfying for them. One stands to lose less money in the long term by playing video poker, and probably have more fun as is some control over your gambling destiny in video poker. Firstly, you cannot bluff in video poker. Next, reading people doesn't matter in video poker. Lastly, in video poker there is no beating of other hands as players aim to have the best possible hand on the payout chart.

With the client base of New Bodog on the rise without any pause, they thought (correctly) that all of the following games have to be in their stable of offerings: blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Tri-card, craps, roulette, Let it Ride, PaiGow, and the famous slots. New Bodog's flash casino assures the public that the most popular offerings are accessible without any hitch. Payout percentages are just the same as that of the downloadable, the graphics are exceptional. The New Bodog is recognized for their speedy payouts, and it is proof that they are fully aware of the cruciality for honesty and a good reputation. Unlike a few sites that we know of, but let us not dwell on them. Sometime last year, New Bodog was tested by the Gaming Associates of UK, an independent auditing firm. Following got tested: Holdem, Omaha, 5-card, 7-card Stud, and everything passed in flying colors.

Before the UIGEA, this online room, Poker Heaven, was already making its presence felt in the online gambling industry. However, when the UIGEA became a law, the room decided to end all businesses with US gamblers. Still and all, Poker Heaven is still relatively new, but they already have around 6500 guests/players, and still rising. In the way of bonuses, Poker Heaven has a good, solid two hundred dollar incentive, but to be able to get it, the room requires the person to do a fixed amount of gambling time. What are the games offered: Holdem, Omaha Poker, Omaha poker 8, 7-card Stud, 5-card Draw. If you want fish, there are a lot of them in here, but hey, if you are a fish yourself- a brotherly advice- get better first. I really don't know why, but this online room entices so many Brits, that in itself is a good material for (a bit of) investigative journalism. The Poker Heaven is part of the BOSS network, and on customer service, their crew is not bad. I mean, they are competent enough. They have 5-man SNGs and ten-player games. One word to the wise, this site is currency-conscious, and it is a boon for the EU gamblers.

Want to learn more about bet (game) poker rule? Let me start with a little discussion on Limit poker, and as the name connotes, raises/bets are limited, let me give an example. If one is at the 1-2 dollar Limit table, bet sizes could be: preflop is one dollar, and this is the small wager. At the flop : one dollar, at the turn- 2 dollars, this is the big bet. As per the bet (game) poker rule, two dollars would be for the river phase of the game. Prior to the flop, if Mr A bets one dollar, and Mr B raises him, then the latter should raise exactly one dollar, the final sum would be two dollars. What is the procedure in the traditional bet (game) poker rule? One would move in turn, like, in a clockwise fashion. In a player's move, first verbal assertion would bind him or her to that, akin to chess' touchmove rule. This mandate in the bet (game) poker rule would bar somebody from changing his decision after witnessing the competitors' reactions. Doing the first vluntary wager is termed as "opening the round", and there are variations with unusual rules on this. Meaning, the special rule would not apply to the rest of the wagering runs.

This poker player profile is on one of the best in the world and at the same time, one of the most active- as opposed to somebody considered as 'exceptional' yet fights at the WSOP only twice in every decade, and I am speaking of Johnny Chan. This guy's first year as the 'poker pro' was NOT a good time of his life, he accumuled losses, and so many pros at that time thought of his as a cash cow. Maybe they called him 'Johnny CHOW' but that is just a thought. If you have already read a poker player profile of this guy, then you already know that he worked as an FM (that's floor manager) and dealer to finance his gambling. Before long, he improved, slowly but surely, and at present, those same players who milked him for money doing that same thing would be next to impossible. Why is he now a legend: he has 10 WSOP bracelets, and really, I had to look it up to come up with the exact number. I lost count, that's why, now here is a bit of trivia. He puts a 'lucky orange' at the table when he is in his poker wars, a good thing it's not some foul-smelling thing.

Help me out here, what was that girl (all-female) band that was so, so popular in the 90s? That girl band that brought about the expression 'girl power'? Now, allow me to use that girl power and change it to Girl Poker Player Power. Paddypowerpoker announced the upcoming Irish Open 2008, and they are bringing the 1st ever Irish Open Ladies. This is going to be a €330 Holdem freezeout, of the NL variety. If this does not bring out the girl poker player power in this part of the world, I don't know what will. Hmm...I wonder if Jennifer Harman or Tilly will grace that event? For that matter, how can we assume that they would be let in? According to the top man of the website, they are looking forward to this new competition, and that to him, it's a "personal compunction" to have more ladies into poker. Other competitions in this momentous event would be the €400 Pot Limit Omaha Rebuy and (take note of the name), the No Limit Holdem Double Chance Scalp. Irish Open 2008 would happen in Dublin on March 19 to 24. Yes, registration is ongoing, just get the details from www.irishpokeropen.com, there, I'm done. Drop me a line when you get all the details, I want to know if I can join too.

There are various poker room review sites, but for me, there's nothing that can beat the premier poker room review site in the world. Yes, that's none else but Poker Room Review. To access, just type pokerroomreview.com or www.pokerroomreview.com on your browser location bar. So, what makes Poker Room Review a cut above the other poker room review sites on the Internet? Well, it has the basics of a poker room review site: poker room rankings and reviews, the latest scoop on the online poker gaming industry, and links to the most popular poker gaming rooms. But this one offers more than that. I like how Poker Room Review presents the top poker gaming sites--for example, the top seven ones get tabs of their own and they look as if they indeed belong in front of the spotlight. When you go to the full ranking list, the font's large enough, very eye friendly. However, how come there are rooms rated that don't have reviews? There's also this dispute feature, your online poker gaming cop. Just send Poker Room Review a mail at help@pokerroomreview.com. What should this e-mail contain? Put in here a really unfortunate incident that happened to you in a poker gaming site which you don't think you deserve. Poker Room Review's going to help you out by acting as mediator between you and the site in question.

A review of the online gaming site Full Tilt Poker reveals three things about poker gaming on the Internet: fun, prestige, and interactivity. What makes these three things possible? Well, as per my observation, Full Tilt Poker has done and is continue doing this through a broad selection of games, an enviable team of some of the most sought after stars in the poker gaming business, and a very dependable computer software system. Add to that Full Tilt Poker's great bonus and rewards deals. Poker players are really going to have the time of their lives when they log on to Full Tilt Poker. Let's start with the games. Aside from the conventional and all time classics Texas Hold 'Em and Omaha, Full Tilt Poker's also got Seven Card Studs, HORSE, and RAZZ. The site also has several freerolls and tourneys to choose from. Now, let's take a look at the endorsers. There's my smashing idol, Chris Ferguson, who else? Get to witness also Allen Cunningham, Andy Bloch, Clonie Gowen, "The Mouth" Matusow, Howard Lederer, John Juanda, Gus Hansen, and Jennifer Harmen, among others. Have you ever wondered what their secrets are? Get them at www.fulltiltpoker.com!
